Demo movies - Kambi VRML game engine

Various demo videos showing our engine at work. YouTube videos have quite bad quality, so you can download AVI versions with (slightly) better quality.

  1. Demo movie from "The Castle" game (short gameplay sequences and shadow volumes fun):
    Download AVI version (29.870 MB)

  2. Demo movie showing GLSL shaders and steep parallax mapping:
    Download AVI version (12.742 MB)

  3. Demo movie from "The Rift", more a draft than a real game for now, see Mile Of Cry game blog:
    Download AVI version (4.571 MB)

Three videos above recorded on 2008-05-01. Production entirely on Linux by free software: capture thanks to Yukon (OpenGL video capturing framework), converted to editable format by mencoder (lives can't directly open seom files), editing (glued, fading between parts) thanks to Lives (Linux Video Editing System).

  1. Rendering flames. Video is referenced as MovieTexture VRML 2.0 node, loaded from images sequence. Movie is itself recorded by view3dscene, using it's "Screenshot to video" option. You can view the complete source model of this in Kambi VRML test suite, in directory vrml_2/movie_texture/.
    Download AVI version (4.503 MB)

  2. Dynamic world with dynamic collisions. This shows view3dscene with demo dynamic_world.x3dv loaded (you can grab it along with the rest of Kambi VRML test suite).
